부연설명: "블로고스피어 (blogosphere)"라는 표현은 그리스어원 로고스 (logos, 아래의 '유래' 참조)로부터 만들어진 신조어이다. 이 말이 유행어가 된 이유는 블로그 (blog)와 바이오스피어 (biosphere, 생물권)라는 단어를 합성했기 때문이다. 달리 말하자면 블로고스피어가 미디어 생태계로서의 웹로그의 본질을 정확히 잡아냈기 때문이다.

Definition: (noun) Refers to the shared intellectual space inhabited by bloggers. Also refered to as Blogland, Blogistan, and Blogspace.
A little color: The term "blogosphere" was coined off the Greek root logos (see Origins below). I think the reason it's taken off as a meme is that it combines blog + biosphere. In other words, blogosphere capture the essense of weblogs as a Media ecosystem.
Usage: "I've seen that link bouncing around the blogosphere lately."
